Dead Link

If a link refers to a web page that no longer exists or web page content that no longer exists, it is referred to as a dead link. Causes for a dead link can be changes to the web page structure or a faulty source text coding. Dead links can negatively impact the ranking of a web page, because they hinder the detection of the website by a search engine. read full article

Deep Crawl

The phrase deep crawl is related to the term crawl and describes the process of a search engine examining web pages for their content and listing them accordingly in a directory. With deep crawl, the sub-pages are also analyzed accordingly as well as the deep links on a web page. An independent assessment and indexing of the individual sub-pages should take place using deep crawl. The PageRank and link popularity are used as criteria for the evaluation. read full article
